Photography/High Fashion Makeup Stage 2
Course Objective:
This stage of the Makeup Artistry Program involves the basic techniques obtained from the Makeup Fundamentals Stage 1 which is a pre-requisite to Photography/High Fashion Makeup Stage 2. The student will recreate various decade looks as well as learn present fashion trend makeup, lighting for photography in black & white and color, and drag makeup. Students will also learn basic fundamentals of up styling and participate in a photo shoot which will help build their portfolio.
Upon completion of the course the student will be competent in the following areas:
- Be able to identify and apply present fashion trend makeup.
- Be able to identify and apply decade makeup with accuracy.
- Understand how to create a makeup face chart for a fashion show based on clothing design.
- To apply fashion show makeup from a designed face chart with accuracy.
- Glamour makeup with corrective and camouflage techniques.
- To have a working knowledge of colour photography and black & white photography in regards to makeup and hairstyling.
- To increase speed in makeup application.
- To apply makeup for men, as well as drag makeup application.
- Discover various hairstyles for up styling and period hairstyles.
- To understand the etiquette when working with models, stylists, and photographers.
- To apply fashion makeup and hairstyling for a themed colour and black & white photo shoot.
- Discover career opportunities in fashion and photography makeup.
Must complete course with 96 hours plus 8 hour photo shoot final and have a minimum of 76% to obtain a certificate in Photography/High Fashion Makeup Stage 2. This is a pre-requisite for Airbrush Makeup Stage 3.
