ADMISSIONS PROCESS
Our Admission Process is Simple and Straightforward.
Applicants to the full-time hairdressing program at Hair Art Academy are required to provide proof of identity and educational background (i.e. photo ID and confirmation that they are a Grade 12 graduate or are applying as a mature student). Albeit confidential, this material will become part of your student file.
All applicants will be personally interviewed prior to acceptance into the program. The interviewer will be interested in the applicant’s aptitude, motivation and long term goals. The interviewer’s objective is to determine how we can best assist the applicant in achieving their goals within the context of our expectations for successful graduates and the school’s program.
Each student is provided with a tour of the school and an orientation giving them an opportunity to observe the school in action. Because we make a commitment to giving our students the best possible training we also expect the best. In addition to the student contract, every student is required to acknowledge and accept Hair Art Academy’s Principles of Ethical and Professional Conduct. Your ability to adapt to the environment and communicate with your teachers, fellow students and clients is an important part of your development.
For those students seeking student loans please note; as required by the Student Loan guidelines, the interviewer will be sensitive to the possibility of misrepresentation (i.e. applicants who wish to receive grants or loans but don’t really plan to attend school and receive training)
